Welcome to College Transfer Office at Bard High Early College Queens.
Every year our office is privileged to partner with Year 1 and 2 students and families as they journey through the college application process. We practice inclusive and holistic advising and therefore seek to develop relationships with students through our cohort model and one-to-one counseling. Beginning in the winter of Year 1, students are assigned to a college advisors. This adult meets with students weekly in small groups and one-on-one through the end of Year 1 to discuss to broad topics related to college access and assist students in developing a strategic college list. 9th grade through Year 2 students and families are invited to attend educational workshops (e.g. transitioning to the college program, applying to college, financial aid, essay writing) in the fall.
